We are thrilled to announce that Darryl Thomas has accepted the position of NAPEX’s first executive director! Darryl comes to the new role after most recently serving as state director of the Illinois APEX Accelerator and past president and strategic partnerships chair of NAPEX.
With over a decade of experience as a program manager for the First Stop Business Information Center, Illinois’ premier resource for business regulations and small business assistance programs, Darryl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this new role. Additionally, he has served as a compliance auditor for the Illinois Commerce Commission and has been passionately involved in his church and community, serving on the board of his local church for over 30 years.
With the direction of the NAPEX board of directors, Darryl will oversee the management and operation of NAPEX and work to continue to position NAPEX as a leading force in our industry. Protecting and enhancing the organization’s financial assets, brand, and reputation, Darryl will also leverage strategic partnerships to create greater value and impact.
Under Darryl’s leadership, we aim to grow funding opportunities and expand membership benefits, and the NAPEX board of directors is confident that Darryl’s leadership will drive our organization to new heights, solidifying our commitment to supporting business owners striving to grow our defense and government industrial bases.
